The Leopards revived their hopes of qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday by beating Mauritius 3-0 at Martyrs’ Stadium in Kinshasa.

Tresor Lualua converted a penalty kick in the 17th minute after Yves Diba was fouled inside Mauritius box.

Matumona Zola found the top right corner of the net at the 24th minute on a pass from Yves-Diba Ilunga.

Following a hand ball in the 49th minute , Ilunga converted another penalty kick to give the Leopards a 3-goal cushion.

Coach Robert Nouzaret men are now second in Group E with 4 points.

Senegal leads the group with 9 points after beating Cameroon 1-0 on Saturday.

Cameroon, lead by Inter Milan striker Samuel Eto’o, is in third position with 4 points.

Mauritius is yet to score a point and has already conceded twelve goals in three games.
